2025 Submissions are now CLOSED

In 2025, we introduce the theme: “Living in Between.”

As we navigate an era of transition, this theme invites exploration between spaces, mediums, spectrums, languages, cultures, time, and stories that bridge communities and generations. Artists are welcome to adopt this theme if their projects engage with these in-between moments.

Together, we will celebrate the connections, relationships, and transformations in our time.

Explore “Living In Between” by applying to be a featured artist in our 12th annual event on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, 7 pm-12 am.

S U B M I S S I O N   Guidelines

We welcome applications from emerging and professional artists working in all mediums.

  • Artists are invited to submit pre-existing, in-process and new projects for consideration. We invite all artists with an open theme to apply. Strong applications should encourage public interaction, engage viewers, transform public spaces, be fun, and/or share unique perspectives.

  • Projects should incorporate light, sound, and spectacle as this is a night-time event.

  • We encourage proposals that reflect NBYXE’s core values as an independent, non-commercial arts, culture and community-based, family-friendly event. NBYXE is a non-profit run by a board of volunteers and a curator.

  • We are committed to practices that promote dialogue in culturally diverse communities. Nuit Blanche Saskatoon recognizes the importance of equity and diversity. If you feel comfortable, please self-declare on the application form if you identify as part of an underrepresented equity group, such as people with disabilities, BIPOC, or 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
